Province East Flandres provides corona emergency assistance

The Province of East Flanders provides EUR 30,000 in emergency assistance to its partner regions in Ecuador, Rwanda and the Philippines.

The province of East Flanders wants to limit the consequences of the corona crisis for the most vulnerable. That is why it is giving an extra EUR 10,000 to each of its partner regions. This is in addition to the 2020 grant already allocated. This is EUR 245 000 for the Philippines, EUR 255 000 for Rwanda and EUR 126 000 for Ecuador.

This emergency assistance goes through the local partners. After all, they know the field. Therefore they are best placed to detect local needs. In this way they can help the most vulnerable.

For Rwanda, emergency aid is provided among others to the local partner PANDAMU.
